Let's take a break; Britney Spears live microphone feed.
I forgot I was supposed to post this earlier for Mr. Pony and Mrs. 'Panic.

I have mixed feelings about this. I'd say this adds a tick in the "The Music Industry Should be Torn Down and Rebuilt from Scratch" column, but boy, what a great big spectacle of a show that must have been. So, you know.
Bizarro counterpoint
Yeah, you know I almost didn't post this because I sort of felt like it was a shameful thing that someone leaked this out in the first place, and I shouldn't continue the cycle, but then, wow what craziness.
That Pikachu thing; Ahhh The curtain! It's been pulled down! I find it weird that she intuitively bows her head when she makes the noise. I read somewhere that when the person who does Ralph Wiggum's voice has a long sentence, her eyebrows get higher and higher.
Are you guys kidding? Why would you feel bad about this? I think it's brilliant that someone let the sunshine fall on this manufactured "music" product. Think about how many people with actual talent could have gotten signed if the major labels weren't fixated on this kind of pablum. Just my $0.02.
I hope Heeero's listening.
That's a good point, Kamapuaa. Hard to tell what begets, what, though. I think the music industry might be as big as it is only because it can focus on single cash-producing artists like Britney Spears. The economics of supporting a larger stable of diverse and talented artists is probably quite different, and nowhere near as lucrative.
Curious: If the music industry were to completely fail, and need to be rebuilt, what would you like to see?
