D&D Character Sheets

We'd talked about doing this a while back; so I found a nice simple D&D character sheet for each of us to fill out. I mean, anyone who feels like it. We can link it to personal profiles in the sidebar, or something. I don't know.

I started one, and one thing I found difficult was the allocation of ability points. I have no idea how strong I am, but I know I have more dexterity than strength, so maybe if we all decide on a set number of points to allocate (54, say--average) and distribute them among our different abilities, that will be an easier thing to do. It always kind of weirded me out that so much of the game of D&D was decided in those initial rolls, in the same way that Ayn Rand freaks me out.

This is an interesting exercise, and I think it may be best to see this as a résumé, avoiding any modesty, and cataloging our skills. Or maybe it will just be enough to gaze upon the gold standard of D&D CVs, and leave it at that.

Collaborative Post Test #1

Based on Ruby's plan for a collaborative post--this is a Flickr badge, made with Flickr's own interface (also available from the "Tools" link in the footer on every Flickr page), and the Pieces of Things Flickr Account I made a while back. I was having trouble getting the keywords part of it to work, but the mechanism seems to be there, so maybe I'm missing something or misspelling something.

I'll send out the Flickr account password again, in case anyone wants to mess with it, or add anything.

Collaborating on Posts

After that chat we had last night, I'm trying to think of ways we can collaborate on posts. Anyone have any ideas? Could we use other sites? We could start a Flickr Group for each post... That seems a bit much, but maybe it's on the right track.

The Results of a Poll

Okay, dudes, the results of the poll are in, and the results is this! You guys miss the smileys. I miss them too. I miss combining them most of all. There was that thing you could do where you could blow your own brains out in a cloud of blood. That totally surprised me when I first saw it, and I never got tired of it. Okay. I will see what the hell I can do about this.

Also more team members. I thought I'd invite you guys first, because the tone of the Old Forum rules because of you guys. Tone is important, probably. Other important team members to follow. God, this is all so important. Again, I will see what the hell I can do about this.
