Drumroll please....

Here is the updated Tauren costume for this year ;) I didn't quite get to finish it the way I wanted to... I flat out ran out of time. But I may get back to it again early next year and go hit Kawaii Kon 2011 ... I think we should all tap into our inner costume building geek and hit Kawaii Kon all together!

EPICWIN Productivity App

This thing I linked to before somewhere is now available in the iTunes store:

It attempts to realize the old dream of converting the effort and concentration given to addictive games into real-life work. I can see how it just might work from the demo, with the in-game personal enhancements and random rewards that cause my best friends in the whole world to exclaim "The fishing part of WoW is fun!"

Does the time invested playing the game significantly offset any productivity gains? Is it fun? Is it fun enough? I don't know! I'm downloading it now! I'll let you know!

Apologies in advance...

2010 - the last gasp for WoW and auto-tune. One can still hope.

Brought to you by the same fine folks that made Auto-tune the News.

Again, all apologies.

World of Warcraft and Project Management

Wondering what you nerds think of this article comparing World of Warcraft raids to real-life Project Management. Is there more here than just the obvious?
If you face a major project or several major projects, chances are you can’t crush them before they overwhelm you. Instead, you gather your team at work, grab a seat at the conference room table with your laptop, and you burn down each project one at a time. Trying to tackle all of them would be as much of a wipe as a Warcraft raid trying to tackle all the bad guys at once.

Tauren Halloween Costume

Speaking of Halloween, check out this sweet costume our old friend Earl made (Your old friend, my new friend). He was a Tauren last year, but this year he resolved to be like, a better, higher-level Tauren with badder-ass armor and gear. Here are some notes on how he made it:

I made the armor mainly with craft foam, sealed with mod podge and painted with black latex house paint and dry brushed with metallic silver acrylic paint .. the giant rivets are ping pong balls cut in ½ ... And the chest piece base is made from a rubber maid tote and a laundry basket … I plan on making a rough tutorial and posting it online with pics to help others interested making this kind of stuff… when I was researching all I could find was elf armor and Halo armor.

Fuck-me-boots? You be the arbiter!

Normally I'm not one to dwell on cosplay girls (cough), or World of Warcraft(cough cough). Nor do I enjoy the combination of cosplay and world of warcraft (hack cough cough) But damn, if that isn't some impressive footwear! After looking at the rest of the photoset I notice the tail is a bit weak though.

Totally lifted from Kotaku with great thanks!

Sam Raimi to direct the WoW live action Movie

For the WoW heads and various intrigued parties, here's the press release. This could be bad, this could be good. Hopefully it will have some god damn trolls in it.
Anyone want to start a pool for what role Bruce Campbell will make his cameo as?
Here's my favorite part of the release.
