Major Spoilers is Back

Guys, guys; Major Spoilers (whose passing I lamented a while ago) is back, like it was never gone. Maybe they were only gone for a couple of days. I guess I forgot to keep checking if it was back. It is! One of the best sites for Mainstream+ comic reviews and exhaustive Legion of Super Heroes Bios, as far as I know. Yes, yes, I'm the only one who cares about the mainstream stuff these days, but someday, that'll come in handy. Like, if you ever want to hear about who was on what side in Civil War. Like Nighthawk? How did he stand on the SHRA bill? The answer may surprise you! Probably! Anyway, the Legion Bios are probably enough to give Galspanic a mild chubber.

Nicole D.

Allow me to direct your attention to the work of one Nicole D., whose haunting paintings are at once evocative of those Baroque still-lives commissioned by rich people to visually catalog the sweet sweet stuff they owned, and some of the cooler displays at the Waikiki Aquarium. Don't ask me how I stumbled upon her work.

Fez. From the GDC '08

Remember Pony's post about games that hack your brain? So here's something I saw on Destructoid from the 2008 Game Developer Conference. It looks pretty benign for the first few minutes, then it's all "hey, that's pretty cool," but then it's straight to "HOLY FUCKING CRAP."

I can't imagine what it must have been like to design levels for this game. Probably a room filled with autistic slave children and... erm, legos (so's I could get the label in there ^_^).

Play This Thing

Play This Thing is a great source for off-the-beaten-path gaming reviews--A lot of Flash games, free downloads, and even tabletop games made of paper and dice. Seems like they go out of their way to review creative and experimental projects you really don't hear about anywhere else.

Of note:
Triachnid
Avalanche
Passage
And, of course, Desktop Tower Defense

Caucus Tuesday

Join me at the Caucus Tuesday night, dudes!

6:30PM
Palolo Elementary School Cafeteria
That's Right Near Your House

I thought I had made an error by not registering in time (I'm still in New York in a lot of weird ways), but you can totally register right then and there. God loves me, it turns out.

Check out this photo of Obama's Sister at Ryan's. I guess she couldn't figure out where else to meet for drinks either. Goddammit, I hate that place.

Another thing that happened: Chelsea Clinton performed the hula in a rally on Maui, to show that her Mom's campaign really gets us, and isn't pandering to us in any way.

Also (and this is directed at all the local reporters that frequent this blong): Could you maybe talk to people at these events just a little longer? I think if you asked a couple of follow-up questions, you'd end up getting some good quotes that don't make the people of Hawaii sound like they just crawled out of their fucking caves to see what all the commotion was about.

Anyway, this is important. I am bringing Cheez-n-Crackrs™ for the Super-delegates. Text my ass.

Tell me...

Tell me THIS is more than fantasy please.
I know it isn't, but I think we need some in our lives.
Can someone please link the real version of this? The real, functional ones used in daily life?
It's time.

A tarsier, God, and THX Sound

Things like this:

It's actually a tarsier, not a maki or a lemur. And why did God make women menstruate? I mean, cats and rats don't have to menstruate and they make babies just fine. That's just mean to women. If I were women, I'd hate God.

A Present From Across the Seas

My friend Annabelle has sent me this present via mail. It is called a HOMIE. It seems like a toy, but maybe it is a weapon, or something. I climbed down into my yard, told the LOST cast members to screw off, and photographed him. I have named him Stephen after Stephen K. Chan. Annabelle has a blong, a real one, and it is really really funny, and always picks me up when I am down. This is because Annabelle is always having a worse day than me. Annabelle's blong can be found here. Thank you, Annabelle!

John & Cindy McCain

Okay, something's been bothering me for quite some time, and I couldn't quite put my finger on it until it hit me, earlier this evening.

Blogging technobabble

A useful flash dingy from Wired to show you where your blogging leads to. I especially like the idea that Text Scrapers and "Meme Trackers" are searching PoT for useful information.

Pony, I think it's time we set up our "thing".
