George Lucas on The Daily Show

I had included this in the previous post, but it deserves it's own:

George Lucas on The Daily Show. This really needs to be an hour long. You get the feeling that George has a slight clue as to the irreparable damage he's caused the Star Wars property, our childhoods, and potential childhoods of our children. Unfortunately he does not quite admit being culpable but if anyone could ask the hard questions to get a confession, it would be Mr. Stewart.

Jorge can't really admit his fault because he can see the legions of admirers that are there before him. What are you gonna do. There's always gonna be the people that feel that their idols shit gold. Then there's those of us who...I guess mature and realize that their idols are just as human as they are. What a shitty realization that is, huh? The more I dwell on it, I can't really hold the shitstorm that was the neo Star Wars against Jorge, because from what I have seen, nobody said anything to him. Everyone in his studio let it happen. He's a terrible writer/director, yes. But all the people around him let him be that terrible director for whatever reason. I'unno. I kinda feel like the tragedy that was the Matrix trilogy had the same problem. Maybe everyone who could have done something to save the films was just blinded by the bullshit. I think I'm trying to say that we all need to hate the bullshit vehicle that is the Hollywood media a little more each day.
