I am going to NYC

Hey, I'm going to be in NYC this week and next! Any requests for things to check out/post about?

I'd be interested to hear if you think the city has changed much in the year since last fall's market meltdown. Is the difference - if there is one - anything you can sense or feel? Or does New York look like nothing happened?

And please let us know if you see flying people like in your drawing.

Is that spider man on your drawing?

Yeah, why are there people flying? They are not falling; some of them are posing like they are totally flying.

Not knowing a whole lot of financial people, I will probably have to use my senses and "feelings" to see any differences in the character of the city. I will keep my eyes open.

The people in the picture are flying. Also, it is a photograph.

MoMA has a Tim Burton exhibit on right now. Plus an exhibit entitled "The Erotic Object". Museum of Arts and Design has a paper exhibit and another of Madeline Albright's booch collection (which is more interesting than it sounds). Personally my favorite is the Calder Circus.

Holy Fuck go see that, Pone. Document it for me in explicit detail. Also, I hate you right now.

I recognize teh fantastic four and spidey, but I am unfamiliar with the other flying dudes. I'm gonna say Vision, Sentry and jeez...who else flies with a cape in the Marble Universe?

Doctor Stramge doesn't exactly fly, does he? He sort of travels in mid air, but it doesn't really look like the act of flying...

great picture! You could met Reno! MOMA is free on fridays from 4-8. I want to see Tim Burton, Bahaus and more..

Why are there so many Dr. Druids?

Is Reno work at MoMA? We're headed there tomorrow to take our eldest offspring to this "art for young'uns" thing we're doing there. Will try to see the Burton thing. Also Bauhaus. The art college I went to is apparently a Bauhaus school, and I've been trying to figure out what the hell that is for a while.

Unfortunately, I'm finding myself so totally booked, with family and work, I can barely squeeze in the seconds to tweet, much less see cool shit. Seeing New York with a 4.5 year old presents unique challenges, although I am enjoying seeing things through his eyes. He floats between being completely amazed and wanting to go home, which is how I felt the eleven years I lived here.

I will be here tomorrow.

Odori, I hear you'll be here a couple of days after we leave. Maybe you will have more luck with free time!
