Happy winter solstice!
I was at Stonehenge again for the solstice. There were way less people than in the summer.
There was a druid called King Arthur there. Some other druids were facing each way and chanting 'let there be peace in the east', 'let there be peace in the west', and so on when the sun came up.
Did it get more peaceful at all in Hawaii around 8:08 GMT this morning*?
*That's 21 December 2009, 10:08PM Hawaii time.

At 8:08 GMT I was putting the finishing touches on my latest worm post. I had been feeling kind of blocked about writing this, but around the time of your druids chanting, the words seemed to just flow. So thank you.
Two things about King Arthur Pendragon. It looks like he changed his name, not to Arthur Pendragon, but to King Arthur Pendragon. That strikes me as little weird, having his full name be King Arthur Pendragon. A little crazy, even. Even the National Guard firefighter who changed his name to Optimus Prime didn't change his name to "Optimus Prime, Leader of the Autobots". Just Optimus Prime.
Second, shouldn't King Arthur Pendragon be a paladin, and not a druid?
At about 10:00 last night one of our cats sniffed the other cat's butt and they didn't fight. Thanks, King Arthur!!!
Well, Paladin does come to mind...let's see...
Warrior
Priest
Shaman
Rogue
Pally
Druid
I know I'm missing one more, but yes, Paladin does seem to fit more than the others.
I think I can clear up the confusion (I found this on page 27 of the extra color supplement which came with the original advanced edition):
'Arthur Pendragon' was a level 45 Paladin who was also a Semi-Mythical King (level 23). His preferred snack is mead. His hit points are currently zero.
'King Arthur Pendragon' is a level 1000 Druid. His preferred snack is lentil bake. He is at full hit points (17).
