So I watch a lot of TV. I was intrigued buy the upcoming The Walking Dead tv show that AMC has started shooting. So I started reading them all a couple nights ago, and now I'm afraid that I might have ruined hours of tv enjoyment. It's a damn fine comic, don't read it until the show gets canceled. (that's canelled for Ruby)

This is a crazy ambitious and horrible mistake that AMC is making. There's no way they can do it.
That was my first thought, too; but I'm not so sure. The triumph of Walking Dead is drawing out the tragedy, sustaining it and building up many layers of horror and suckage. I think it's a great template for a TV show.
My concern is what I call a "Walt" problem. Child actors will age way too quickly. Comic 73 is about 18 months into the story, I'm guessing that on TV that would be season 3 or 4, unless you get an Emmanuel Lewis type, the kids got get cycled in and killed fast.
Cloning will solve this problem. Or duplicating the accident that created Emmanuel Lewis.
