Xtranormal Content Creation Tool
Here's a neat sample of what you can do with the Xtranormal content creation tool. It's very easy to make short little movies, by simply inputting a script. Movie by tinywatchproductions.

Unicorn Meat
Everyone likes unicorns. Except for the National Pork Board.
ThinkGeek's April Fools canned-meat-product, and following, the first page of NPB's cease and desist letter.

So I watch a lot of TV. I was intrigued buy the upcoming The Walking Dead tv show that AMC has started shooting. So I started reading them all a couple nights ago, and now I'm afraid that I might have ruined hours of tv enjoyment. It's a damn fine comic, don't read it until the show gets canceled. (that's canelled for Ruby)

lee enfield sniper rifle (lego)
This has got to be the coolest working Lego gun ever made.
And while on the Lego topic I wanted to share a picture of a vehicle my 5 year old daughter made the other day while I was outside on my lanai working on a project / neglecting her. When I came in she was pushing her critters around in the vehicle while they were exploring planet "Yabba". It was great and packed with lots of dialog between the two explorers. She also made a rocket that she manage to seal a baby critter into as well... Its always good to see the Lego gene being passed on ;)

Pulgasari!
Still downloading, but posting now, to make sure I post before I either A) Get so completely absorbed by this newly-discovered world of North Korean Kaiju cinema that I never make it back to the Internet or B) find out it sucks so bad that don't want to tell you guys about it.
From the wikimind - "It was produced by South Korean directorShin Sang-ok, who had been kidnapped in 1978 by North Korean intelligence on the orders ofKim Jong-il, son of the then-ruling Kim Il-sung."

Urgent repairs
Someone stuck this to my door, pointing out that the colo(u)r is in urgent need of repair. Am I in danger?

Darth Kitty
Ok clearly I need to stop procrastinating and get back to work, but this is just too unspeakably cool not to share. The thought that comes to mind is: WHY?

This one's for Mr. Pony
I have long harbored an unnatural and inexplicable affinity for the mid-90's R&B sex jam "Pony" by Ginuwine. The inane lyrics ("If you're horny, let's do it, ride it, my po-nay"), the farting bass groove that was the hallmark of production by Timbaland on all those Aaliyah and Missy Elliot songs of the same era, the original bump and grind video that was a staple on MTV, you know what I'm talking about "Mr. Pony"-- a coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.
Anyway, this website was passed my way by a friend and deserves sharing. It's got that voyeuristic, uncomfortable chat-roulette feel to it that makes it so compelling (unless you can't stand the song-- a distinct possibility.)
There's a "Next" link on the bottom that takes you to a second page of videos, if 15 versions aren't enough for you. OK I've probably said too much already. Ride it!

Ladies 99p
It's been a bit more than a year since my wife died; it was our wedding anniversary the other day.
I just found this picture she once sent me from a hellish pub near an industrial estate outside of some large UK city, and I thought I'd post it in honor of her.

movies in frames
Movies in Frames is a website where people can go to waste a lot of time like I did just now. They take 4 frames from each film and try to tell the story of the whole movie. Some of them are really great and some are just okay but I thought the idea was good enough to share.

Food porn gone wrong
Hey, Mr. Pony. I rephotographed eggs chips mushrooms beans according to your instructions and it looks even more disgusting!
(UPDATE: Actually, reading them again, I think I did not follow your instructions well.)

How Incentives Motivate (and How They Don't); Drawn (via @Viil)
From Dan Pink's talk on his book "Drive", at the RSA. I think this was a TED talk, too. I find this breathtaking for a couple of reasons, which will become apparent when you take the time to watch it. Not sure these principals can be applied everywhere, but it's great to keep in mind that there are places where this model works. Also, the real-time drawing is kinda perfect. (I wish I'd thought to add a temporal dimension to my failed Pho Recipe Drawing.)
More of these awesome real-time drawings/talks here.

What I Eat Most
It's a bit crunchy, and doesn't have quite the dietary benefits of the real thing, but on the plus side I'm angling for a future Guinness record (I haven't decided whether to go for the plain and simple man-eats-17-tons-of-plastic approach or perhaps the gross factor of longest-intestinal-surgical-procedure or such) AND is guaranteed to satisfy the curiosities of most readers of this blog.
