The story goes that this kid named Jerry Levitan snuck into John Lennon's hotel room in Toronto and convinced him to do an interview. Lennon's earnest vagueness makes a great soundtrack for some brilliantly executed (if comically literal) narrative animation. Let's watch, shall we?

This is great fun. I'm very impression.
But did you notice the artist wrote the words NOTHING over Canada? (See 4:13) What??
Rather -- I'm very impressed. Not impression.
Oh good. I was really fascinated by this piece but I was embarrassed to post the first comment for some reason. I've never read or listened to any of John Lennon's philosophies so to hear him talk about changing the world like he did was really quite fascinating. Listening to him describe it made me hope that such a thing were possible; to change the world peacefully, that is. But I guess I'm a bit to jaded and cynical to believe that that could really fly in this day and age. And yeah, I caught the cheap shot on Canada, too. I kind of like Canada. I never met a Canadian I didn't like. Just don't understand.
I didn't notice the Canada thing. Does seem like a cheap shot. The artist could have just as easily done something more artful, maybe labeling the white page before North America knocked the words out, or covered them with a page turn, or something. Just goes to show--even a message of peace can be hammered into a weapon of war.
