whoa. i should have checked out more of this guy's videos before i posted this...
i put this up only because i've always thought lolita fashion is whack and i think its' really, really weird that it's catching on in the states. did you see the bit where two women talk about having tea with their dolls??! seriously, wtf. (sorry if anyone out there loves lolita... maybe you can help me understand what i'm missing.)
Maybe it's one of those things that thrives because putting a lot of work into it really pays off, like making superhero costumes, or needlepoint. Or doing your taxes.
I feel deep shame that I did not wish you a happy birth anniversary when we spoke on the phone yesterday. I was getting my ass handed to me in AoE by Fugu. So blame Fugu.
I was too busy trying to make Pony pay for his infuriating and inexplicably powerful Gratuitous Wall Attack from last time.
I'd say it's totally Pony's fault, but if I recall correctly IT WAS YOU who gave him the idea the last time you played, Odori. But happy late birthday, anyway!!!
am most impressed that fugu once again destroyed everyone in age of empires. where do you get your powers?
thanks everyone for wishing me a happy birthday. fugu, you're not on facebook, so you wouldn't know, but i'll ask everyone else: what do you do when dozens of people of wish you a happy birthday on facebook? i'm trying to figure out the appropriate protocol for responding. one big shout out in a status update seems too impersonal. and i don't want to very publicly respond on everyone's wall. maybe i will sent individual personal messages. any tips guys? you can be my ms. manners. :) or emily post or whoever.
I think I might just feel good and move on. Your well-wishers certainly wouldn't want their message to cause you any trouble or distress. In general, a Happy Birthday wish on Facebook is a drive-by sentiment, in the nicest sense possible. If you are still feeling remiss, perhaps you could watch for their birthdays, and wish them a happy one when the time comes!
Also, use the left fork for everything. Even touching any of your other silverware is considered very rude. If a waiter tries to clear this fork (known as the "king fork" in northern circles, and the "supah-fork" in the south) it is customary to fight him for it.
Very wise, Mr. Pony. I remember wishing someone a happy birthday and forgetting about it shortly afterward -- I certainly wasn't expecting a reply then. Thank you for being a voice of reason!
Since you have showed such brilliant Facebook advice, I will immediately follow your silverware guidance.
I never know what to say when people wish me happy birthday. Saying "thank you" seems awkward. My first inclination is to say "happy birthday" right back at them.
