Christianity in the Hawaii Republican Party
Check out this bit from the chairman of the Republican Party of Hawaii. (He's promoting "Duke" _ Hawaii's lieutenant governor and the party's only serious candidate for governor.)

I started reading that and then I got caught by the Hollywood actresses; then & now slideshow.
I think Republicans everywhere are reaping the dumbness of incorporating the Christian Right. I have no idea how this will play out in the Fall elections (maybe the effect will be minimized by primaries), but it sounds like many in the conservative mainstream are backing away from the lunatic fringe they legitimized. In the very best cases (like this one), they are the lunatic fringe.
