Cool, but my sense is it's easier to just go and find the parts you want at one of the parts depot sites! I'm guessing there are way more options than what the parent company is offering in their little packages...
Yeah, there is always the brick link sites. But that's like you know, looking for specific pieces to make things with. That's like, you know, calculation and stuff.
This is making random crap with random crap, hence the excitement.
The Mystery Minifig packs offer a lot of very weird parts that kind of break the LEGO tradition of non-specificness-for-the-purpose-of-reusability. It's like they're applying the design of their license-driven sets to their LEGO City line. Overall, I am not in favor of this as a strategy, but some of these minifigs are very cool.
My favorite moment here: using the Mariachi poncho as a head covering for the Kachina. Also, the sad guy with the hammer.
These are awesome. I've got the mexican wrestler minifig.
I'm expecting the guys in the first vignette to start singing "Look on the Bright Side of Life." :)
I have a new Lego community site:
http://brickcollections.com
and would welcome your participation. Other members would appreciate your creations.
