It's art day, apparently. This just in: New show from a new local art interest. Drawings by Rinus Van de Velde at a thing called
Interisland Terminal. Do you know what's going on here, Galspanic? The
location looks familiar.

I fear I do not have enough information to make any sort of fair, or biased comment about this new (temporary?) space.
I do know a little about people involved, but I don't know their level of involvement, or to what degree their agendas fit in with this space.
I will keep it on my radar, but I will continue to have no faith until proven otherwise.
I just looked at their website--is that the old Kwong On space? Looks really different with clean windows. I'm not a hip young thing who is in with the local art scene but I haven't heard a thing about these people or their new venture. I kind of wonder though, if they're goal is to build a local community, why are they starting off with a non-local artist? (just wondering)
Faith is for suckas, anyway.
Not sure where the space is, exactly. Looks like it's in that strip with Kim Chee II and Collector Maniacs. Don't know if this is the permanent space or if it's a floating thing.
Good question about the Belgian guy. They seem to have a specific agenda. Reading some of their goals, one would think they're starting a utility company. Maybe I'll ask. I'm going to try to stop in for a short time around 6.
I'm gonna say this; their event line-up is not encouraging.
Ahem, "their" goal not "they're." Geez. Not enough coffee or what.
My curiosity is piqued now. I might have to check them out next time I go into Kaimuki town.
Galspanic: hey we don't know right? It might be really cool. (insert laugh here) Seriously though, maybe the Belgian dude does interesting work. It could happen.
I failed to stop by. There is tendon soup in my official excuse. Field trip?
Sure! If we can all agree on a time for the PoT posse to assemble.
OBOY field trip!
I know I'm going to get a heaping spoonful of scorn from Galspanic for this--a gal who used to work for TCM in Makiki just twittered about the drawings at Interisland. She wrote that it was "some of the most interesting work I've seen in a while". If you don't want to sully yourselves with twitter its on her blog http://arthonolulu.com.
Why would Galspanic get upset about you using a social network to gather information?
How's Sunday work for any/everybody?
Yeah, I'm in the dark about that as well.
Oops. Sorry. Somehow I got it into my head that Galspanic was twitter-phobic.
If we go on Sunday I can't make it until after lunch.
BTW Mr. Pony your icon reminds me of that river god in Spirited Away. But in a good way, of course.
You need an icon, mri.
How about this?
That''s funny, I was thinking that MRI and Beeeye need icons while driving today.
