Mech Chicken with bbq sauce please...

Happy New Year to eveyone! Hope all is well with the PoT community =)

So here is my chicken walker... I call it the "Gallus Domesticus I". This is in reference to Panic's chicken walker contest mentioned here... I haven't seen any other chicken walker post today so I'm guessing I'm the only contestant?

Either way I had fun making it and busted my arse the last two days trying to figure out the best way to paint it. I'm pretty happy with how it came out... I posted a ton of photos on Flickr for those that are interested in this kind of thing... Of course my wife says that pictures don't quite capture it well enough and is best something seen in person ;)

Anyone know of any local galleries that would display this kind of thing? hehe

WOW, dude. Even having seen your costume-making skillz in person, I have no way of telling what is what it seems and what isn't. Great details on this, and the doll and top hat really make this all special.

Double bonus points for taking Galspanic's contest seriously!

Holy fuck. I wish I had taken this contest more seriously. I mean, Faka still would have won, but yeah.
Super awesome. I think you win our first official contest.

BTW The top hat is super lame. In an awesome way.

Its a smoke stack made to look like a top hat ;) I should probably photoshop some smoke coming out... I was kind of going for the old steam locomotive type of thing with a slight Planters peanut dood look. Maybe a straight pipe sticking out of its head might have been a better approach... Anyway it was fun. I still feel like making more steampunk crap.

Oh btw the head/neck is connected to the gun control thing by a single 14 gauge wire. So when you wiggle the head/neck the gun moves and vice versa. The legs also move pretty much which ever way so its fully posable... and the canons can spin =) Bawk bawk bawk!!!! Pew pew pew!!!

FAKA! your attention to detail is stunning. I would vote for this as our mascot.

That is truly astounding.

I just ended up with a sock monkey with toilet paper tubes stuck to his legs and a phone charger tied to him.

Pics or it didn't happen.

I dropped my camera/phone 8 stories a month ago and consequently have no way to take a picture (though it works otherwise). But... I'm getting a new phone tomorrow, with a working camera.

I don't have any pictures of my phone falling down the stairwell unfortunately so maybe that didn't happen either.
