I love Vermillion Sands! Was toying with a similar idea-inspired by the work or Spacesick and others on Flickr. He/They do covers for fictitious novelizations of movies. See examples here and here.

Yes he do. Here's another guy that was doing book covers for video games, but he abandoned the project. Some of the comments are funny. I find his concerns about being derivative a little silly as so much of his work is inspired by Bass, Chwast, Bachs, etc.-but then again he's only 22.
