Photos from UH Astronomy Dept. LEGO Thing






Thanks for the tip, Helpwillcome! There was other cool science stuff there, too, like egg drops and 3-D imaging that made you want to barf and soda bottle water rockets and the hands-on-but-strangely-uneducational "Make a Comet" activity. Also, Fugu came closer to tracking down his old Master Sensei, who disappeared into the Infrared Spectrum many years ago.

I feel strangely torn about this. My <3 belongs to astronomy, but my dad did the same kind of thing with geology's open house and they rocked it (holyshitthatpunwasnotintended) so much harder than these pansies did.

This must not be even close to what it was like in the South during the civil war. Families getting torn apart, and all.

I'm still trying to figure out what that woman with the slime mold exhibit was doing in the astronomy department (aside from possibly flirting with you).
