Pushing Daisies

Might be too TLDR for some folks (including me), but just in case someone out there isn't watching the show, the punch line is this: Watch this show.

Unlike Heroes and all the other crap on TV these days, I think the fact that it's up-beat (in a tastefully surreal sort of way) is a hell of a bonus. It apparently takes giant kahones these days to have a witty, well written series that isn't tragic and depressing or an over-the-top comedy.

I've forgotten that there are those out there who actually have lives outside of the internets.

TLDR: too long; didn't read

Agree. This show rules. It makes Mrs. Pony and I want to kiss faces. Also, the art direction is as good as they say. It's elegant as hell, and it's sad to think that it's going to go away soon. One major error with the basic premise: What dies, so that that his pies may live?

And while we're doing this, can I throw in an obligatory "why are you not watching 30 Rock" thing here?

Fucker?

BECAUSE I take it personally that the damn show survived the same season that Studio 60 got dropped. That's not justice. If anything, I see the back-handed work of the Lord in that shit.

Bitch.

I really think that's like comparing Battlestar Galactica to The Love Boat, there--Both are exciting stories of a great journey of discovery and wonder (and Love), but there's certainly no reason to pit them against one another, just because they both involve travel.
