Flyers, Part 2

Walking down this tunnel connecting the L Train with the 1 Train at 14th Street, I saw this other flyer that really does speak for itself.

That first shot totally reminds me of the scene in "V" where that husband dude–actually they just got engaged after his girlfriend was sleeping around with the enemy to spy on them–anyway, the husband dude gets injured in a tunnel as The Beastmaster and the other guys are trying to escape, but there's this huge laser about to fire through the tunnel, so the husband dude sacrifices himself so the others can run away and he gets fried by the huge laser. Of course, the laser was red. And I think he was wearing leather. And then the girlfriend gets all sad.

By the time I was introduced to Nazi iconography, I was already well versed in the extremely similar visual vernacular of the Visitors. Since the Visitors were so clearly the bad guys throughout the miniseries, the final battle, and the series, I don't think I ever really gave the Nazis a fair shake. Funny, how that works.

I'd rather take guitar lessons from Jayson.

Funny... My only real memories from V are a guy in a leather kimono, in a chair, who's dead with his human skin face ripped off(I think he was a boss level guy),
Freddy Kreuger playing the V national anthem, and a dude breaking his hand off because it was stuck in liquid nitrogen. The last one gave me nightmares.

Ditto on the nightmares. Why did that guy hit his frozen hand on the railing so hard? Hey, looks like some maniac has uploaded the entire V miniseries to youtube! Here's that clip. Let the nightmares reawaken!
