Yeah! The pieces like that I had almost fit that way, but they were a little on the loose side. Here's a question for the pros--what else, if anything, does the minifig wrist joint interface with?
I know you are referring to the "peg" side and not the grip. I will run some tests, but I am in no way shape or form a "pro", So I can't guarantee positive results.
